Celebration of Life for Mrs. Alice E. Ross of 163 Fifth Street Milledgeville, Georgia will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2011 - 11:00 a.m at New Hope Baptist Church 345 East Camden Street Milledgeville. Interment will follow at Ellis Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. Remains will be placed in state at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Mrs. Ross departed this life on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at her residence. She was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church. Her memory will forever linger in the hearts of her six sons; Arthur Ross, John(Carlene) Ross, Melvin (Barbara) Ross, Marvin Ross, Charlie (Vancie)Ross, and Lamar Ross all of Milledgeville, one sister Lucille (Emanuel) Johnson of Milledgeville, one brother Jimmie Goddard of New York, ten grandchildren, fourteen great - grandchildren, devoted friend Ola Mae Durdan and a loving host of other family members and friends.
