Graveside Services for Mr. Alton Herbert Kyles, Jr. of Milledgeville, Georgia will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Scenic Memorial Gardens Ga-Highway 49 at Allen Memorial Drive Milledgeville, Georgia. Alton was called home to eternal rest on Friday, September 9, 2022 with his loving family at his side. He was a well known drywall finisher in Milledgeville, Georgia and had extensive knowledge in the construction field.

Alton served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal; w/one star; Vietnam Campaign Medal; Rifle Badge and Marksman. He received an honorable discharge in 1968.

At an early age Alton joined Trinity C. M. E. Church in Milledgeville, Georgia. Later in life he attended Flagg Chapel Baptist Church with his family. Alton loved spending time with his grandson; Rodney Jones and his two great nephews; Kyle and Kayle.

He leaves cherished memories with his devoted wife of 18 years, Theresa D. Kyles, three sons, Jason (La Wanna) Kyles, Nicholas (Sasha) Kyles and Jarvis Kyles all of Atlanta, Georgia, three stepdaughters, Nia Taylor of Atlanta, Georgia, Kendra (Sha Marcus) Simmons of Charleston, South Carolina and India (Chris) Jones of Macon, Georgia, one sister, Sharon Kyles Rice (Jeffery) of Milledgeville, Georgia, two brothers, William A. (Vivian) Kyles of Chicago, Illinois and James M. (Delois) Kyles of Nashville, Tennessee, one aunt, Myrtle Williams and a loving host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Alton was preceded in death by his parents; Alton Herbert (Doris) Kyles, Sr., one sister, Cynthia Kyles, two brothers, Kenneth D. Kyles and Dwayne C. Kyles.

The family request those attending the graveside service please adhere to C.D.C. guidelines and there's no visitation due to COVID-19.
