Graveside Services Celebrating The Life of Mrs. Annie Clyde McDowell- Lawson 87 of Milledgeville, Georgia will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 12:00 noon at Heritage Memorial Park 371 Log Cabin Road NE Milledgeville, Georgia. The Reverend Wayne Evans will officiate. Mrs. Lawson was called home to eternal rest on Monday, December 7, 2020 at Navicent Health- Baldwin. She was a former member of Morgan Chapel Baptist Church and in 1996 joined Vaughn Chapel Baptist Church with her husband, Deacon Matthew Calvin Lawson, Sr.. Mrs. Lawson became very active in the church serving as a missionary, usher, deaconess and youth adviser for the junior usher board.

She leaves an abundance of cherished memories with her devoted husband of 66 years; Deacon Matthew Calvin Lawson, Sr., six daughters; Angelia Lawson, Abigale (Horace) Stembridge, Edith Lawson- Brookins, Frances Lawson, Bernadette Lawson-Phillips all of Milledgeville, Georgia and Debra Lawson (Marion) Rhodes of Warner Robins, Georgia, one son; Matthew (Coretta) Lawson, Jr. of Milledgeville, Georgia, three sisters; Veola Milton, Gloria Jean McDowell both of Milledgeville, Georgia and Judy (Reverend Landon) Ward of Jackson, Mississippi, two brothers; Varry (Odessa) McDowell and Deacon Ernest (Edna) McDowell of Milledgeville, Georgia, 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
