With heartfelt sympathy we announce the passing of Mrs. Barbara Ann Dixon. Barbara Ann Dixon was born on July 25, 1953 in Sparta, Ga. to the late Mr. L.E. and Annie Margaret Baker. Barbara was educated in the Hancock County Public School System and graduated in 1971 from Hancock Central High School. At an early age she accepted Christ and joined Hickory Grove Baptist Church where she continued to serve until her health began to fail.Barbara married her high school sweetheart James A. Dixon in 1971. To this union three children were born. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband James A Dixon, two daughters; Tonya(Isaac) McClain and Latesha Dixon both of Milledgeville, son; Jameric A Dixon of Jacksonville, North Carolina, two grandchildren; Keterior I. Mc Clain and Isaac Mc Clain IV., five sisters; Doretha Baker, Beatrice Baker both of Sparta, Ga., Josephine Adams, Jacqueline (Mark) Toombs -Smith, both of Milledgeville, and Linda (Stevie) Dixon of Lizella, Ga., three aunts; Pearl Blount of Milledgeville, Vinia (Eddie) Lawrence and Nancy Barksdale both of Sparta, two uncles; Earnest (Earnestine) Baker of Atlanta, Ga. and C.W. (Joan) Barksdale of Sparta, GA. and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
