Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Beatrice Harris Griswold of Haddock, Georgia will be held on Monday, May 6, 2013 at Oak Grove Baptist Church 508 W Highway 49 Milledgeville. Services will begin at 12:00 noon with the interment following at Brown Grove C.M.E. Cemetery. Remains will be placed instate at 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. The cortege will assemble at 1034 Highway 22 East Haddock Georgia. It was on Wednesday May 1, 2013 that Beatrice was called home to Glory. She was a faithful and very devoted member of her church serving as an usher,church mother, church secretary,and a member of the Missionary Board. Mrs. Griswold also as secretary at Perdue Tabernacle A.M.E. Church, president of the Jordan Chapel Society, and a member of Brothers and Sisters of Help Society. She was preceded in death by her husband the late Johnnie Griswold, Jr.She leaves a legacy of love and memories to be cherished by three sons; Charlie(Ruth)Griswold,Ronnie Preston(Vickie)Griswold both of Milledgeville, and Theotis(Brenda)Griswold of Macon Georgia. Two daughters; Fannie G. Blount and Dorothy G.(Freddie)Wilson of Haddock, Georgia. Daughter-in-law Viola Griswold,a very-very devoted niece; sister Gearldine Dennis; devoted friends; Callie Greene, Gladys Grady, Bernestine Ransom, Johnnie Mae Dixon, Jerry Williams & Family, Deacon J.C. Hogan,fifty-eight grandchildren, and a great host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren,nieces,nephews,other relatives and friends.
