Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Bessie Mae Turner-Lewis, age 100 of Milledgeville, Georgia will be held privately on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 9:30 am at Morgan Chapel Baptist Church,1903 North Columbia Street, Milledgeville, Georgia. Bessie made her sacred journey home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 13, 2020. The interment will follow at The Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Bessie was a lifelong faithful member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Sandersville, Georgia. She served as an usher and a missionary. She retired from Georgia College after nine years of dedicated service.

Her memory will live on forever with her family, four daughters; Hazel Payne of Milledgeville, Georgia, Leslie (Winton) King of Decatur, Georgia, Linda Lewis of Lilburn, Georgia and Jacqueline Lewis of Stone Mountain, Georgia, one son; Joe L. Lewis of Milledgeville, Georgia, devoted friend, Larry Croy and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
