Celebration of Life for Mrs. Betty Jean Washington age 84, of Milledgeville, Georgia will be held on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 12:00 noon at The Chapel Of All Faiths 252 Swint Avenue Milledgeville, Georgia. Reverend Gregory Ellison will officiate. The interment will follow at Heritage Memorial Park. Betty entered into rest on Saturday, December 25, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Washington, Sr. and her daughter, Zena Barnett Mason.

Betty was a devoted member of Vaughn Chapel Missionary Baptist Church for the past 30 years. She was president of The Benevolent Club and a former choir member. Betty retired after 15 years of dedicated service from The Milledgeville Country Club.

She leaves heartfelt memories with her children, Jacqueline Lewis Oliver of Milledgeville, Georgia, Emily Washington Adams of Snellville, Georgia, Jessie (Deborah Ann) Washington, Jr. of Milledgeville, Georgia, Victor Washington of Milledgeville, Georgia and Audrey Barnett (Terance) Williams of Loganville, Georgia, two sisters, Peggy Johnson and Barbara (Harvey) Leonard both of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 12 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
