Homegoing Celebration for Bishop Jerry Hayes of Milledgeville will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. at New Life Church 385 Log Cabin Road Milledgeville. Remains will be instate 1:30 p.m. at the church. The interment will follow at Heritage Memorial Park. Bishop Hayes was the senior pastor of Greater Love Outreach Ministries since 1996. He was a Fellowship Pastor with Outreach Family Fellowship under the tutelage of Apostle Michael Goings. Bishop Hayes was a trailblazer. He organized the first Hope Parade / Concert, and Prayer Walk in Milledgeville. Bishop Hayes was summoned home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 6, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife, Co - Pastor Beulah Hayes and sons, Johnny Hayes and Byron Vandross. He leaves to cherish precious memories, daughters, Wendy (Elwyn) Holt, Miranda (David Hicks) Hayes, and Natasha (DeMario Little) Hayes, son, Jeffrey Lydell (Shamika) Hayes, sisters, Ruby, Martha Ann, Hattie, and Patsy, brother, Joseph Hayes, devoted grandson, Germaine Patterson, five grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
