Celebration of life for Mr. Charlie Johnson of 350 Harrisburg Rd. Milledgeville, Ga. will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 - 1:00 P.M. at Shiloh Baptist Church 204 Harrisburg Rd. Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Remains will be in state at the church at 12:00 noon until the hour of service. Charlie entered into eternal rest on Thursday May 5, 2001. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and served as a member of the Usher Board. Charlie was a proud member of the State of Georgia Retirees Association. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife Mrs. Mary T. Johnson of Milledgeville, three sons; Charles (Lyn) Strother of Charlotte, North Carolina, Curtis D. (Joda) Johnson of Bowling Green, Kentucky and Timothy Johnson of Milledgeville, Georgia. Two daughters; Pamela Coker of Haward, California and Anitra Johnson of Milledgeville, Georgia. Two sisters; Minnie P. Johnson and Opheila Johnson of Milledgeville, Georgia. Twenty one grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Charlie was preceded in death by his daughter Angela Johnson.
