Celebration of Life for Mr. David Russell Cooper of Milledgeville, Georgia will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 11:00 a.m. at The Augustus Austin Memorial Chapel of Peoples Funeral Home 950 N Clark Street Milledgeville, Georgia. The interment will follow at Scenic Memorial Gardens. On Friday, February 10, 2017 David traded time for eternity.  As a young teenager David began his career of repairing shoes and handbags at McMillan Shoe Repair. He was blessed after being a dedicated employee for so many years to purchase and operated the business until his retirement.  He leaves to cherish fond memories, his daughter, Alicia Cooper of Milledgeville, Georgia, one son, Willie T. Cooper of Chicago, Illinois, two sisters, Martha Cooper of Atlanta, Georgia, and Louvenia Bell of Yardley, Pennsylvania, devoted friends, Otis Hill, Larry Hill, Joe Foreman, Billy Harper, Sr., four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
