Services Celebrating The Life of Deacon Willie Butts of Milledgeville, Georgia will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 12:00 noon at The Augustus Austin Memorial Chapel of Peoples Funeral Home 950 North Clark Street Milledgeville, Georgia. The interment will follow at Scenic Memorial Gardens. Deacon Butts entered into rest on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at his residence. He was a faithful member of Second Beulah Baptist Church where he served on the deacon board, member of the male chorus, former treasurer and secretary, and a member of the home workers society. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Frances Swint Butts. Deacon Butts is survived by his daughters, Mildred Womble of Milledgeville, Georgia, Josephine Patterson of Detroit, Michigan, Shirley (Achristopher) Chatman , Winette (Blake) Robbins, and Eva Pitts all of Milledgeville, Georgia, one brother, Carey Butts of Milledgeville, Georgia, sisters in law, Inez Brenson and Lucille Poole, nine grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, great - great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
