Homegoing Celebration for Deacon Roy Green of Milledgeville, Georgia will be held on Monday, July 25, 2016 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Vaughn Chapel Baptist Church 1980 N Jefferson Street NE Milledgeville, Georgia. Remains will be placed in state at 10:00 a.m. with the interment to follow at Bone Cemetery. Deacon Green was a faithful and devoted member of St. Mary Baptist Church for many years. He attended services at Vaughn Chapel Baptist Church and St. Luke Baptist Church serving on the Deacon Board at both churches. On Wednesday, July 20, 2016 Deacon Green made his Sacred Journey home to be with Christ Jesus. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of seventy years, Mrs. Mary Julia Burke Green , daughters, Gladys ( Jerome) Grable, Jessie Justice and Dorothy (Michael) Greggs all of Milledgeville, Georgia, sons, Leroy (Betty) Green of Atlanta, Georgia, Wesley Green, Calvin Green  and Tyrone Green of Milledgeville, Georgia, devoted grand daughter Latoshia Green of Milledgeville, Georgia nine grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, great- great grandchildren other family and friends.
