A Celebration of Life and Love for Deaconess Juanita Griswold Finney of Milledgeville, Georgia will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 - 1: 00 p.m. at New Damascus Baptist Church 676 Damascus Church Road Gray, Georgia. Pastor : Wilbur E. Greene will officiate. The interment will follow at the church cemetery. Deaconess Finney was a faithful member of her church serving on the missionary board, mother's board, women's ministry, deaconess board, a member of The Order of The Eastern Star, and a member of Brothers and Sisters of Help Society. On Tuesday, February 28, 2017 Deaconess Finney departed and transitioned from this life at Navicent Health Medical Center, Macon, Georgia. She leaves to celebrate her life and cherished memories, her devoted husband of fifty five years, Deacon Johnny Elbert Finney, one daughter, Jacqueline Simmons, two sons, Jeffrey (Christine) Finney and Julius (Catina Trawick) Finney all of Milledgeville, Georgia, sisters, Bertha Mallory, Charlie Mae Turk both of Milledgeville, Georgia, and Julia Mae (Wiley) Tuft of Gray, Georgia, one brother, Emmett Griswold, Jr. of Milledgeville, Georgia, devoted niece, Geraldine (Pastor Matthew) Dennis of Macon, Georgia, twelve grandchildren, nine great - grandchildren, and a loving host of nieces, nephews, in - laws, other family and friends.
