Services Celebrating The Life of Mr. Floyd Canty, Jr. 72 of Milledgeville, Georgia will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023 at the Augustus Austin Memorial Chapel of Peoples Funeral Home, 950 N Clark Street, Milledgeville, Georgia. Services will commence at 11:00 am with the interment following at Westview Cemetery.

On July 10, 2023 Floyd was called home to eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Canty, Sr. and Minnie Canty, his sisters, Ethel Canty Poole and Claudia "Tutt" Canty and a brother, Leroy "Penny" Canty.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, one son, Floyd Canty III (Tiandra), two daughters, Monica Canty-Scott (Anthony), Keytaya Clemons-Scott (Quinton), three sisters, Margaret Canty-Vasser, Carolyn Driskell and Sonya Warren, one brother, Henry Canty, one grandchild, Elijah Canty, a devoted niece, Robin Reeves (Antwain), a devoted cousin and caregiver, Melvin Jones, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
