Celebration of Life for Mrs. Gladys Davis of Milledgeville, Georgia will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 commencing at 11:00 am at Westview Cemetery, 1035 West Montgomery Street, Milledgeville, Georgia. Officiants will be Reverend Robert Chapman and Reverend Harris Hardwick. Mrs. Davis entered into rest on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.

She was a lifelong member of Union Baptist Church in Milledgeville, Georgia and served as an usher. Mrs. Davis regularly attended church services with her husband, Deacon Joe H. Davis, Sr. at Second Macedonia Baptist Church. She loved baking for her family and friends and enjoyed a good walk with her walking club members. Mrs. Davis possessed a beautiful spirit and was loved by many. She retired from Central State Hospital after 35 plus years of dedicated service as a registered nurse.

Her beautiful memory lingers on with her husband of 69 years, Deacon Joe H. Davis, Sr., two daughters; JoAnn Moore of Decatur, Georgia and Clara Thomas of Milledgeville, Georgia, one sister, Catherine Betty Davis of Milledgeville, Georgia, her devoted niece; Vanessa Solomon, three grandchildren, one great grandchild, nieces, nephews, and her Union Baptist Church family and friends.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by one son; Joe H. Davis, Jr., one sister; Annie Wallace and her grandson; Jimmie "Reggie" Thomas, Jr.
