Celebration Of Life for Mrs. Gladys Trawick Spikes of Sparta, Georgia will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Second Beulah Baptist Church 3014 Beulah Highway Sparta, Georgia. Remains will be placed in state at 11:00 a.m. with the interment following at Second Darien Baptist Church Cemetery. The cortege will leave from 4260 Beulah Highway. Mrs. Spikes was a lifelong faithful and devoted member of Second Beulah Baptist Church and served as a deaconess, mother of the church, and past president of the senior choir. On Friday, March 25, 2016 our beloved mother was called home to eternal life. She leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her life, three daughters, Johnnie Mae Spain of Milledgeville, Georgia, Shearlene Walker and Rhunette (Frank) Lewis both of Sparta, Georgia, three sons, Gus Spikes of Milledgeville, Georgia, Matthew (Robert Ann) Spikes of Sandersville, Georgia and William (Irona) Spikes of Gray, Georgia, one sister, Ernestine Lewis of Milledgeville, Georgia, nineteen grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren, and a loving host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Mrs. Spikes was preceded in death by her late husband John Henry Spikes and a son Bennie Frank Warren.
