Celebration Of Life for Ms. Gloria Jean Scott age 78 of Fairburn, Georgia will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2020 privately for immediate family only at Ely Funeral Home 3316 Highway 33 Neptune City, New Jersey. The interment will follow at Monmouth Memorial Park  4201 NJ 33 Tinton Falls, New Jersey.

Gloria traded time for eternity on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Sacred Journey Hospice in McDonough, Georgia. She was formerly of New Jersey before moving to Savannah, Georgia. In 2010 Gloria moved to Fairburn, Georgia and worked with Wal - Mart until she retired. She was a member of The Eastern Star. Gloria was an avid bowler and enjoyed the sport as a favorite pastime. She enjoyed cooking for her family and not to mention her skills as a gardener. Harvesting her vegetables was always rewarding.

She leaves an abundance of cherished memories lingering in the hearts of her children, Deneen (Myron) El of Long Beach, California, Timothy (Janiene) Bryant and Herbert Benjamin (Hassan) Scott, Jr. of Fairburn, Georgia, siblings, Terry James of Florida, Keith (Marla) James of New Jersey, Frederick (Michelle) Swindell of Elizabeth, New Jersey, her devoted friend, Ann Scott, sixteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a loving host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Lacretia Perry, and one son Gerald Christopher Bryant.
