Celebration of life for Mrs. Hazel Payne, 82 of Milledgeville, GA will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Chapel of All Faiths, 252 Swint Avenue, Milledgeville, GA at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Donald Hill will officiate, and interment will be held at Heritage Memorial Park, 371 Log Cabin Road, Milledgeville, GA.

Mrs. Payne entered into rest on Sunday, January 5, 2025.

Mrs. Payne was a lifelong resident of Milledgeville. She served the Milledgeville community as a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 523, Eastern Star, and a Baldwin County Voting Poll Manager.

She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters:  Angela Lee Bridges of Milledgeville, Georgia, Scottie (Ronald) Stubbs of Milledgeville, Georgia; one son, Clifford (Tawana) Payne, Jr. of Milledgeville, GA; five sisters:  Leslie (Winton) King, Linda Lewis, Jacqueline "Gale" Lewis, Betty Wyatt, and Phyllis Jones-Churn; four brothers: Joe Jones III, Taft Jones, Sr., Phillip Jones, Sr., and Dwight Jones, Sr.; Eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
