Graveside Services for Mr. James Harper age 93 of Milledgeville, Georgia will be held privately for immediate family only at 2:00 pm on Friday, April,17, 2020 at Pine Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery 657 Old Monticello Road NW, Milledgeville, Georgia. James departed this life for eternal rest on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at Navicent Health - Baldwin. He was a faithful member of St. Paul Baptist Church until his health declined. James was a former member of Prince Hall Masonic Lodge Baldwin #159, a member of The American Legion Post #523, and also a member of Daughters of Wisdom and Sons Of Light.

He was preceded in death by  his spouse; Willett Hitchcook Harper,one son; Wilbur Lee Harper, sister, Petronia Harper and a brother, George Harper.

Left to cherish the many precious memories, his three daughters; Verdean Flowers, Evelyn (John) Alberty and Debra Denise (LaTharreo) Womble, two sons, Willie James (Debra) Harper, Sr., and Travis Levell Harper, Sr. , aunt, Essie Mae Carrington, devoted brother in law, Robert Lee Hurt, Jr., grandchildren, John C. Alberty, Jr., James Alberty, Corey Alberty, Willie James Harper, Jr., Nikita Cherrelle Harper, La Tharreo Markel Womble and Travis Levell Harper II, great grandchildren, Delvin Harper Brown, Layla Chevelle Grable, John C. Alberty III , Jordan Christopher Alberty and a loving host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
