Celebration of Life for Mr. James C. Jones will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Peoples Funeral Home, Augustus Austin Memorial Chapel, 950 N. Clark Street, Milledgeville, Georgia 31061. Elder Edward Allen will officiate.  The interment will follow at the Cooper Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 487 Gordon Highway, Milledgeville, Georgia.

Mr. James Jones departed this life on Monday, September 9, 2024, at Green Acres Nursing Home.

James returned home to Milledgeville from Brooklyn, New York in 2016 and was a former member of New Hope Baptist Church in Milledgeville, Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Jones, Sr. and his brother, Johnnie Jones, Jr.

His memories will be cherished by his mother, Nellie Beckom, one sister, Bobbie Jean Jones Heard of Augusta, Georgia, one brother, Eddie (Janice) Jones, Sr. of Conyers, Georgia; nieces, Brandi (Rod) Miller, Chaska (Willie) Moore, Tangee Peeks, and Valencia Bell and two nephews, Eddie (Cheryl) Jones, Jr., and Chadwick (Elizabeth) Heard and a host of grand nieces, grand nephews, other family and friends.
