Celebration of Life for Mr. John Douglas Dendy of Milledgeville, Georgia will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Flagg Chapel Baptist Church 400 W Franklin Street Milledgeville, Georgia. Services will begin 1:00 pm with the interment follow at The Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Monday, November 17, 2014.Remains will be placed in state at 12:00 noon. John departed this life on Friday, November 7, 2014 at his residence.He served in The United States Navy and did a tour of duty in Vietnam.John was a member of the American Legion Post 523 in Milledgeville until his health started to decline. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of forty two years Mrs. Fannie Dendy of Milledgeville, Georgia, sons,Douglas Antonio Dendy,John Maurice Dendy, devoted grand son Jamari Isiah Dendy all of Milledgeville,Douglas Hill of South Carolina and daughter Cheryl Gray of South Carolina,sisters, Margaret McMorris and Catherine Mahdee of Richmond Virginia, brothers, Earl Dendy of Baltimore, Maryland, George Dendy of Clinton, South Carolina and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
