Celebration Of Life for Mr. John Ed Watkins of Milledgeville will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church 171 Harrisburg Road Milledgeville. Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the interment following at Council Cemetery. Remains will be instate 9:00 a.m. at the church. It was on Sunday, October 8, 2017 that John was called to eternal rest. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife Mrs. Ruby Burgess Watkins, daughters, Olivia (Norris) Dumas, Janice (Vincent) Wise, Bethinia Bell, and Chaquita (Jeffrey) McGuire, sons, John Ed Watkins, Jr., Jimmy Watkins, Eugene Burgess Watkins, and Tom Burgess, sister, Mattie Johnson, brother, Abraham Watkins and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
