Homegoing Services Celebrating The Life of Mrs. Juanita Forney, age 73, of Sparta, Georgia will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at The Augustus Austin Memorial Chapel of Peoples Funeral Home, 950 N Clark Street Milledgeville, Georgia. The interment will follow at Hickory Cemetery in Sparta, Georgia. Reverend Kenneth Lester will officiate. Juanita peacefully entered into rest on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon, Georgia.

She was a faithful and devoted member of Friendship Baptist Church in Milledgeville, Georgia until her health declined. Juanita enjoyed working in her flower gardens as a favorite pastime with her husband Willie. She retired from Central State Hospital after twenty four years of dedicated service as a Health Service Technician.

Her memory lives on and forever cherished in the hearts of her family, her spouse of fifty six years, Mr. Willie Forney, one son, Felix Bernard Forney of Augusta, Georgia, two sisters, Maxine (Robert) Moss and Ruby (Willmond) Hurt of Milledgeville, Georgia, four brothers, Richard (Janice) Butts, Jimmy Butts of Milledgeville, Georgia, Rufus Butts of Atlanta, Georgia and Freddie Butts of Savannah, Georgia, two grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a loving host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
