Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Katie Mae Gillyard, age 89 of South Ozone Park New York, formerly of Milledgeville, Georgia will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 commencing at 1:00 pm at Friendship Baptist Church, 685 Ga-24, Milledgeville, Georgia. The interment will follow at the church cemetery. Reverend Matthew Dennis will officiate. Katie entered into rest on Saturday, February 4, 2023 in South Ozone Park, New York.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, four children, Juanita Thomas of Chattanooga, TN; Hayward Gillyard, Jr. of Queens, New York; Sharon Gillyard-Haynes of Laurelton, New York; and Michelle (Eric,Sr.) Morman of Woodbridge, VA; two brothers, Eugene (Caree) Culver of Chatanooga, TN and Samuel Culver of Nashville, TN; 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a loving host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Katie was preceded in death by her husband, Hayward Gillyard, Sr.
