Celebration Of Life for Mr. Larry Hooks, age 72 of Milledgeville, Georgia will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022 at 1: 00 P.M. at the Augustus Austin Memorial Chapel of Peoples Funeral Home, 950 N Clark Street, Milledgeville, Georgia. Bishop Bruce Lee will officiate. The interment will follow at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Larry entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Falcon Manor Personal Care Home in Gordon, Georgia where he was a resident for the past ten plus years.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, George and Dovie Lou Hooks, also one son, Reginald Hooks. He served his country in the United States Army from 1970 to 1973 and was deployed to Vietnam. Larry received an honorable discharge and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and The Vietnam Service Medal.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Patricia James and Jenifer Wimberly both of Milledgeville, Georgia, two sons, Larry (Tracey) Hooks, Jr. of Durham, North Carolina and Jamaal (Pricia) Hooks of Smyrna, Georgia, twenty three grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, other family and friends.
