Celebration Of Life for Ms. Lena Rose Bellamy Pelt, age 71 of Milledgeville, Georgia will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022 commencing at 11:00 am at Flagg Chapel Baptist Church, 400 W Franklin Street, Milledgeville, Georgia. Reverend Dr. Omer Reid will officiate. The interment will follow at Howell Cemetery, Pittman Town Road, Suffolk, Virginia.

Lena was a faithful member of Flagg Chapel Baptist Church for over 20 years serving actively as a member of the Senior Choir, a founding member of the Beautification Committee, Vice- President of the Food Committee and the Youth Department. She was also active in the Hancock-Baldwin Mass Choir which gave her an outlet for one of her passions--- singing and praising God.

Lena's life came to a close on Sunday, December 25, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother; James E. "Buddy" Bellamy, sisters; Brenda B. Washington and Carolyn B. Garland, and niece, Mona Lisa Washington.

Lena leaves to cherish her lasting memories, one daughter; Tracy Pelt, one granddaughter; Channing P. Juhan (Xavier Hall); great grandchildren; Londyn, Colton & Carter Ford, all of Milledgeville, Georgia; brothers; William(Nelda) Bellamy, and Timothy (Mary) Bellamy all of Franklin, VA; sisters; Catherine Laverne B. Kendrick of Milledgeville, Georgia; Gladys Bellamy of Suffolk, VA; Tammy B. Manley and Lisa Bellamy of Portsmouth, VA; sister-in-law; Carolyn Bellamy of Gatesville, NC; aunts; Helen B. Lee, Hazel Lowther and Gladys Lowther, all of Suffolk, VA; goddaughter; Ryan Garland of Milledgeville, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, devoted friends and other relatives also survive her.
