Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Leroy Scott, age 78, of Irwinton, Georgia will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 11:00 am at The Wilkinson County High School Auditorium 11481 SR-57 McIntyre, Georgia. Reverend Petruska Bryant-Levert, Officiating and  Reverend Daniel Thomas will deliver the Eulogy. The interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia. Leroy was called home to eternal rest on Saturday, January 8, 2022.

He was a faithful member of Saint Phillip A.M.E. Church in Toomsboro, Georgia until his health began to decline. Leroy was an Educator with The Wilkinson County Board of Education and retired after 30 years of dedicated service to the community and the many students he taught. He was the former president of The Wilkinson County Chapter of The Georgia Association of Educators. He also coached the Wilkinson County High School girls track and field team, softball team, and the basketball team.Leroy was truly a pillar in the community.

He leaves to cherish the many unforgettable family moments and times spent together, his caring and devoted wife of 54 years, Mrs. Barbara Scott, two sons, Stacy Bernard Scott of San Antonio, Texas, and Leroy Edward Scott of Douglasville, Georgia, one sister, Lillie Belle Sharps of Chicago, Illinois, his devoted grand daughter, Jasmine Kionna Scott of Jonesboro, Georgia, other grandchildren, Stacy LaShawn Scott, Andrea Nicole Scott, Jalen Kahlil Scott and Luric K'imani Scott, one great grandchild, Mailani Serenity Hunter and a loving host of other family and friends.
