Graveside Services for Mr. Lewis "Hot" Hartwell, Jr. age 76 of Milledgeville, Georgia will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery- Stewart Road, Milledgeville, Georgia. Pastor Dexter Burney will officiate. Lewis entered into eternal rest quietly on Sunday, August 29, 2021. He was born December 21, 1944 in Eatonton, Georgia to Lewis Hartwell, Sr. and Lillian Arnold Hartwell who preceded him in death. Two siblings also preceded him in death, brother, Eugene Hartwell and sister, Verdious Hartwell.

"Hot" enjoyed watching sports and playing solitaire. He also enjoyed spending time with his many nieces and nephews. "Hot" was employed with Dyer Construction Company for 36 years retiring in 2009.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories, one daughter, Angie (Floyd) Shelton, six sisters, Theodora Trawick, Evelyn (Bennie) Huff and Carolyn Hartwell all of Milledgeville, Georgia, Mildred Pitt, Piscataway, New Jersey, Angela Holmes of Radcliff, Kentucky, Patricia (Troy) Howell of Macon, Georgia, three brothers, Alginett Hurt of Warner Robins, Georgia, Chester Hurt of Milledgeville, Georgia, and Leon Mitchell of Eatonton, Georgia, beloved aunt, Lizzie Mae Reeves of Milledgeville, Georgia, devoted friend, Patricia Allen and a host of nieces, nephews and other family survive him.
