Celebration of Life for Loretta Kathy Oden, age 71, will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Wesley Chapel AME Church, 425 Bell Avenue, Milledgeville, Georgia 31961.   Reverend Salathiel Coleman will officiate.  The interment will be private.

Ms. Oden entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 16, 2024.  She was born on June 21, 1952, her parents were L. W. Oden and Frankie H. Oden. She was a 1970 J. F. Boddie High School graduate. She was a lifelong and active member of Wesley Chapel AME Church where she served as a choir member, on the Missionary Society, Food Bank and Vacation Bible School.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary #523.  She was employed by Georgia College and State University in the Food Service Department.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Oden, and her brother, Ralph Oden.

She leaves to her cherish memories: her niece, Michelle Oden of Mableton, Georgia; her cousins: Dr. Clyde W. Oden, Jr. of San Francisco, California, Dr. Robert (Gina) Stanley of Roseville, California, and Douglas A. (Joan) Oden, Esq. of San Diego California; and a host of other family and friends.
