Homegoing Services for Ms. Mary Louise Weeks-Williams of Decatur, Georgia will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026, commencing at 11:00am at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church Chapel, 6400 Woodrow Road Stonecrest, GA 30038.Elder Linda Simmons will officiate, Elder Broderick McBride will serve as the eulogist and Minister Robin Wilson will read the resolution. The interment will follow at Grantville City Cemetery 124 Griffin Street Grantville, GA. Mary entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Brightmoore Hospice in Griffin, Georgia.

Mary moved from Warren, Ohio to Decatur, Georgia in 1988 after retiring from General Motors. She joined New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in 1985 and was a devoted member until her health declined. She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her son Johnny Cooks.

She leaves to cherish and honor her memory, three granddaughters, Angel Cooks- McMillian of Tallahassee, Florida, Alexandra Cooks and Jordan Cooks of Dallas, Texas, nine great grandchildren, Caleb, Mason, Madisyn, Makynzie, Maryah, Jorja, Kamryn, Alijah and Ace and a loving host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
