Memorial Service for Mr. Melvin Young, Sr. of Milledgeville, Georgia will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at The Augustus Austin Memorial Chapel of Peoples Funeral Home 950 N Clark Street Milledgeville. Melvin was a lifelong resident of Baldwin County. He enjoyed working out at the gym and jogging as a past time. It was on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 that Melvin was called home to be with the Lord. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of sixteen years, Amelia Andal Young, daughters, LaQuanda Young and Sierra Young, one son, Melvin Young, Jr. all of Milledgeville, three sisters, Eula (Elijah) Goodman of Cleveland, Ohio, Annie Duncan of Milledgeville, Ga and Katie (David) Vasser of Houston, Texas, one brother, Marvin (Carlise) Young of Cleveland, Ohio, four grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. The family will receive friends at the home of Ms. Annie Duncan on Thursday and Friday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. 2694 Irwinton Road Milledgeville.
