Home Going Services for Mrs. Nellie Underwood Phelps of 325 Bryant Street Milledgeville will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, December 19, 2011 at The Chapel of All Faiths 252 Swint Avenue Milledgeville. Interment will follow at Bone Cemetery. Remains will be placed in state at the chapel at 11:00am. Mrs. Phelps was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. On Tuesday December 13, 2011 Mrs. Phelps made her peaceful transition to be with the Lord. She leaves to cherish her memory six daughters Ernestine Turner, Henrietta Manson, Louise Bonner Linda Phelps, Geneath Phelps all of Milledgeville and Laura Bachelor of New Brunswick, New Jersey. One son Marvin Brown of Milledgeville. Devoted sisters in law Christine Reaves and Geloria Phelps. Devoted brothers in law David Phelps and Ezekiel Phelps. Twelve grandchildren twenty two great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Phelps was preceded in death by her husband Sam Phelps Jr. and a son Melvin Brown.
