Celebration of Life for Reverend William E. Burnett, Sr. of Milledgeville, Georgia will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Flagg Chapel Baptist Church 400 W Franklin Street Milledgeville, Georgia. Service time will begin at 1:00 pm with the interment to follow at Austin Memorial Cemetery. Reverend Burnett transitioned from this life on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 and made his Sacred Journey Home to be with the Lord. He served as Pastor of Crossroads C.M.E. Church in Monticello, Georgia. Reverend Burnett leaves to cherish his memory one daughter Portia Burnett Mosley of Decatur, Georgia,three sons,William E.(Tonya) Burnett, Jr.,Derek Burnett,and Shawn Burnett all of Milledgeville, Georgia, four sisters,Annie Louise Wilson of Niagara Falls, New York , Julia Mae Bailey,Brenda Diane Watson, and Denise Reese all of Milledgeville, Georgia, four brothers,Frank (Geraldine) Bailey, Jr. of Niagara Falls, New York, Larry (Tracy) Bailey of Niagara Falls, New York, Donald (Pamela) Reese of Milledgeville, Georgia Robert Sanford of Covington, Georgia , his special devoted best friend Dorothy Burnett, thirteen grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a loving host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
