Graveside Services for Mr. Rufus Dennis, 61, of Milledgeville, Georgia will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Wood Place Cemetery in Eatonton, Georgia.  Reverend Lee Wornum will officiate.

Rufus entered into rest on Monday, August 4, 2025. He recently joined the House of Prayer in Milledgeville, Georgia. He was preceded in death by Ruth Dennis and Thornton Dennis, Jr.

Rufus is survived his mother, Alfreda Dennis of Milledgeville, Georgia; one daughter, Monico (Griffin) Patterson-Palmer of Milledgeville, Georgia; one son, Shondarius (Fantasia) Brown James of Macon, Georgia; three sisters: Ella Hooks, Wyalene Holsey both of Milledgeville, Georgia and Tracey Ellington of Stone Mountain, Georgia; two brothers: Willie Frank Dennis of Milledgeville, Georgia and Anthony B. (Raquel) Dennis of Orange Park, Florida; five grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
