Graveside Services Celebrating The Life of Mrs. Slettie Bell Sanford, age 91 of Milledgeville, Georgia will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Westview Cemetery, West McIntosh Street Milledgeville, Georgia. Pastor Robert Chapman will officiate. Mrs. Sanford entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Atrium Health Navicent Baldwin.

Slettie Bell was born on December 5, 1929 in Hancock County to the parentage of Flem Stephens, Sr. and Donnie Turner-Stephens who both preceded her in death. She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age at Union Baptist Church. As a faithful lifelong member she served as an usher and a choir member. Later in life, Slettie Bell gained employment at Central State Hospital where she retired after 34 years as a supervisor.

Her cherished memories lives on in the hearts of her three sons, David Sanford, Jr., Edward Sanford and Wallace Sanford all of Milledgeville, Georgia, devoted grand-daughter, Denita Sanford of Milledgeville, Georgia and her devoted grand-son, Vincent Edward Sanford of Ellenwood, Georgia, also a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends survive her.
