Celebration Of Life for Mrs.Velma French-Norman 69 of Millledgeville, Georgia will be held only on Monday, August 31, 2020 at 11:00 am at The Augustus Austin Memorial Chapel of Peoples Funeral Home 950 N Clark Street Milledgeville, Georgia. The interment will be private. Velma was called home to eternal rest on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at her residence with family members at her side.

Velma was formerly employed at Central State Hospital as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She faithfully attended New Hope Baptist Church after moving from Florida in 2002. She enjoyed fishing as a pastime and loved to travel.

Her memory lives on with her family, three daughters; Marilyn French, Carliss (Michael) Hurt of Milledgeville, Georgia and Lesa French of Atlanta, Georgia, one son Traves (Alice) French of Statesboro, Georgia, siblings; Yolanda Napier of Atlanta, Georgia, Kitty (Curtis) Hamm of Gray, Georgia, Annie ( Bobby) Lango of Milledgeville, Georgia, Dennette (Troy) Williams, Betty French, Alex French, Jr. of Milledgeville, Georgia, Melvin (Bridgette) Harris of Atlanta, Georgia, Walter French of Milledgeville, Georgia, devoted cousin, Tommy French of Milledgeville, Georgia, devoted god-daughter and cousin, Lula (J.J.) Williams of Macon, Georgia, seven grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
