Graveside Services Celebrating The Life of Mrs. Verdell Rice 61 of Milledgeville, Georgia will be held privately for immediate family members on Saturday, October 10, 2020. Services will begin at 12:00 noon at Rock Mill Baptist Church Cemetery 2770 N Columbia Street Milledgeville, Georgia. Reverend Hillmon Graves will officiate. Verdell traded time for eternity on Friday, October 2, 2020 which was the birthday of her mother, Mrs. Mary Jane Parham- Brown.  She was a lifelong resident of Baldwin County and a faithful member of Saint Paul Baptist Church. She was the wife of Mr. Albert Rice for thirty eight years.

Verdell was a former employee of Oconee Regional Medical Center as a Certified Nursing Assistant and retired after twenty years of dedicated service to the citizens of Baldwin and surrounding counties.

Her memory will live on and cherished forever by her husband; Mr. Albert Rice, one daughter; Shiketa M. (Freddrico) Harper of Milledgeville, Georgia, four sisters; Ella Milner and brother in law James who was always there and willing to assist Verdell with her medical appointments, Bernice Butts who also assisted in any way she could by helping Mr. Rice with Verdell, Hazel (Michael) Brown of Milledgeville, Georgia and Patricia (Calvin) Waller of Mableton, Georgia, two brothers; John Brown, Jr. of Lithonia, Georgia and Johnny Brown of Stone Mountain, Georgia, one grand daughter; Armani Harper and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Verdell was preceded in death by her parents; John and Mary Jane Brown, Sr. and one sister; Barbara Williams.
