Graveside Services for Mr. William " Boss" McDowell, Sr.  age 81 of Milledgeville, Georgia will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 beginning at 11:00 am at St. Luke Baptist Church  Cemetery 1950 Ga- Hwy. 22 Sparta, Georgia. Pastor Willie Culver will officiate. William was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 surrounded by his loving family and friends at his residence.

He was a lifelong member of Vaughn Chapel Baptist Church. William retired from Georgia Power after 30 plus years of service.

He leaves  cherished memories with his devoted wife of fifty two years, Mrs. Izora Choice- McDowell, two daughters; Vickey Evans of Milledgeville, Georgia, Cynthia (Paralee) Robbins of Greensboro, Georgia, three sons, William McDowell, Jr. of Milledgeville, Georgia, Seabron (Sandra) McDowell of Barstow, California, and Ray Anthony McDowell of Powder Springs, Georgia, siblings; Annie (Matthew) Lawson of Milledgeville, Georgia, Veola Milton of Milledgeville, Georgia, Judy (Landon) Ward of Richland, Mississippi, Gloria McDowell of Milledgeville, Georgia, Ernest (Edna) McDowell of Milledgeville, Georgia and Varry (Odessa) McDowell of Milledgeville, Georgia, fourteen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
